Exploring the mountain areas of Malaga & Spain climbing Via Ferratas is an exciting way of getting to the top of cliffs and vertical rock faces. The climbing skills you need to ascend are fairly straight forward: the safety lanyards move with you as you climb and you are clipped in to the safe line at all times during your journey. The main safety principles that you need to follow are: 1. Distance between climbers must be at least 3 bolts
2. Use of anchor lanyard for resting when tired but do not climb above it
3. Always keep at least one lanyard clipped in the cable or life line
Climbing via Ferratas is also appealing because you can climb them together with other people at the same time, making it a great way to share a mountain experience with friends and family. Below are a few o pictures of our groups last week climbing Via Ferratas in El Chorro & Villanueva both of them located north of Malaga.
