Pinares de San Anton: fantastic warm venue for colder days

We had a 2 great day open course for beginners and intermediate climbers in the lovely area of Pinares San Anton, above the city of Malaga, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Protected from the wind and almost ‘permanently sunny’, it is one of the best places in Spain to climb during a cold spell.

This time, we had a group composed by Magda from Northern Ireland, Mihkel from Estonia, Max and Matthias from Germany.

We look at everyone’s individual skills and we took it from there to progress in a personal way. Apart from climbing some great lines, we look at the safety aspects when abseiling and retreating from a climb, cleaning the top anchors and clipping safely when lead climbing.

A great climbing course with great company 🙂
